biography

i am a composer and performer, based in Boston, MA. i seek to express my ideas which intersect my identity and life experiences, which causes my art to manifest in many forms of music and media.

my compositional work has been read and performed by artists of all disciplines, such as chamber ensembles Mivos Quartet and Radius Ensemble, Nightingale Vocal Ensemble, pianist Mia Elezovic, as well as my own friends and colleagues. i have also worked in collaboration with senior dancers from Boston Conservatory at Berklee, and scored projects with USC game development students.

as a performing artist, i’ve presented my own pieces and songs at venues in Berklee College of Music and Longy School of Music, and continue to play shows around the Boston area as a part of a folk/acoustic duo with professional ukulele specialist Tyler Donkoh-Halm.

about me

artist statement

i believe that there is more to a musical identity and career than just adhering to a label. i want to explore what it means to call myself a composer, a performer, a collaborator, a woman - and what it means to bridge the multiple facets that make up who i am. to cross-contaminate my interests, and to present these creations to those with open hearts and ears. my voice and my pen are my main agents, but in no way are limited; they are points of departure. drawing from contemporary classical traditions while remaining rooted in improvisatory and vocal practices, i seek sound that is intentional yet vulnerable. my practice is a perpetual act of integration - of voice, body, intellect, and experience - and i allow that wholeness to shape my music and future.
